Islamic logic

Given what the author defines as "two historical truths": first, the large number of exceptional scholars who engaged with logic in Islamic Arab civilization, their spread across Islamic lands, the diversity of their religions, the variety of their scientific specializations and outputs, including extensive compositions, commentaries, translations, summaries, explanations, and poetic verses; and second, the acknowledgment of the harassment, criticism, accusations, and persecution these scholars faced. The book raises the research problem, which lies in the circumstances that accompanied Muslims' reception of an intrusive science like logic into Islamic sciences, their interaction with it, and the stages of its fluctuation between rejection and acceptance in the new environment.
