A book that delves into a rare topic many shy away from due to the extensive knowledge required in the history and science of monotheistic religions and their roots. Mandaeanism is still surrounded by much ambiguity and confusion, especially when the subject is mythology, which explores, analyzes, and interprets Mandaean myths—the first threshold to Gnosticism and monotheism. It places Mandaean myths within a comprehensive cosmic cycle that begins with creation, then civilization, then destruction, and ends with death and annihilation. In doing so, it establishes a connection between the subject of myths and the time of their occurrence.
