The announced and the hidden are two parts

Known and Unknown reviews George W. Bush's memoirs and many previously undisclosed details about his service with four American presidents. We follow his ascent from a middle-class childhood to the Navy to a seat in the US Congress at the age of thirty. It also reviews his perspective as a member of the Nixon and Ford administrations, CEO of two major companies, and special envoy to the Middle East for President Reagan. Rumsfeld also addresses the challenges that prevailed during his tenure as Secretary of Defense during the September 11 attacks and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Along with frank remarks about differences in viewpoints within the Pentagon and with other members of President George W. Bush's National Security Council. The Known and Unknown is an argument claiming that Rumsfeld always knew the right course of action and made decisions based on what was known and revealed. However, it lacks the burden of proof as Rumsfeld offers no vision for the future based on his years of experience. In short, not a bad book, but infuriating.
