Beersheba's home
It reviews the history of the Beersheba region and its city, starting from the Ottoman policy towards its Arab and tribal communities and what was known as the "Negev Bedouins," then its fate within what was called "Southern Palestine" in the Ottoman organizations. It also discusses the geopolitical changes in this region, the intensification of agriculture and the Ottoman and international interest it generated, then the Ottomans transforming the Beersheba region into a combat outpost against Britain. It touches upon the tribal conflicts among the people of the region and their true cause, not what was written by biased pens, addressing the constant conflict between tribal customary law and state law. The book discusses the issue of the continued application of the Ottoman "land law" after the fall of the Ottoman Caliphate.
