The current tale cannot be compared to a fascinating story of a great journey: yes, it is a true story in all its details, and it has only one advantage: it is short. And if there are new insights into some areas of the East that are still completely unknown, it also shows how an expedition that combines many elements of success can fail due to the incompetence of its leader, when patriotism, and even the simplest self-interest, should have dictated the choice of a man who would not succumb to the ridicule of strangers. It is certain that these observations were simply collected to serve as personal memories.
