In Certainty - Wittgenstein
Wittgenstein wrote this book in the last year and a half of his life while ill, engaging in debates with his friend Norman Malcolm about knowledge and common sense in George Moore's philosophy. Consequently, he compiled a collection of paragraphs and notes that formed this book. These paragraphs discussed topics such as knowledge, certainty, and human practices, touching upon philosophical doctrines like skepticism and idealism, as well as important ideas discussed by Wittgenstein, such as world pictures, ordinary language, forms of life, language games, madness, and the idea of the riverbed and the squirrel.
