Introductions
Peter Ludvig Møller, a critic of Kierkegaard, described it as "not only one of the most ironic texts, but also the most unconditionally elegant ever written against Heiberg... I don't recall any argumentative writing in Danish being as brilliant as it." He urged his critics to read the introductions to his books, because, in his view, they were the key to understanding them. They also "contain things of utmost importance." The introductions include humorous sarcasm about intellectual and literary figures from Kierkegaard's era, providing an insight into the intellectual, literary, and cultural atmosphere of that time, along with a more general discussion of Danish Hegelianism.
