Socialism is the essence of many desires, beliefs, and reform principles that captivate minds, for governments fear it, legislators court it, and nations see in it the dawn of new destinies. Thus began his research on socialism, in which he applied the ideas he had previously established in his books "The Secret of the Development of Nations" and "The Spirit of Communities," without delving into the details of socialist doctrines. Instead, he sufficed with studying its essence and examining the reasons for its emergence and the factors that hinder or facilitate its spread, illustrating the permanent conflict between the ancient principles deeply rooted by inheritance in souls, which societies still rely on, and the modern principles that are the product of new environments arising from the development of modern science and industry.
