The first section of the book defines the social movement and clarifies its logical structure. The second section explains that the migrant is not only defined by their movement, but also by specific historical circumstances and various forms of social exclusion. The third section shows how several migrant figures offered an alternative to the aforementioned logic. The fourth and final section discusses how the concepts from the second and third sections can help in a better understanding of the complex dynamics of contemporary migration phenomenon in the Mexican-American context.
