The taste of separation
The novel "The Taste of Separation" by the Palestinian novelist departs from the ordinary; it is more than memoirs in four parts. In it, he chronicles pain and bitterness, and three generations who lived through the experience of the Nakba and displacement, finally settling where suffering spreads its wings across the map of the lost homeland, as he chronicles the history of the pain and the bleeding wound suffered by generations whose fate it was to be victims of Arab weakness and fragmentation; we retrieve it forever.
